Information on Remote Support:
Remote support allows the client computer and the technical support computer to talk to each other. This allows technical support to see exactly what it going on at your site. It also allows for what we call “On Line Training”. This is a special type of exact pinpoint training that will go directly to what you need to know. It is done with both computers connected across the Internet or with a modem.
For Modem Support
Internet Access or a 56k Modem (Internet Access is preferred.)
pcAnywhere 32® version 11 or newer
Information on Networking Your Computers:
The main computer that holds all of the data is called the network server. (Don’t use XP Home Edition or NT/2000 workstation as a server as it will cause problems) All of the other machines on the network are called workstations. The more memory and the faster the CPU, the faster the software will run. For the server, more memory is more important than a faster processor. For a fast server you should use a fast SCSI hard drive. SCSI hard drives are faster and more reliable than IDE hard drives.
