PATIENT STATEMENT PHONE NUMBER IS NOT PRINTING THE AREA CODE

The plain paper layout, “Patient Statement Laser Layout with Adjustments”, the clinic phone number is already part of this format. Please see the following page for a sample of this layout.

The easiest way to edit a form is to do this from billing. In this way, we can test to be sure that everything is doing what we need. Once in billing, pick a patient billing run. Click on a patient name to select, now click on EDIT. This brings up a screen with all the small “boxes”. You will see the boxes that contain the Clinic Information. If you want the phone number to be placed directly below the clinic address, then do the following:

Click once on the Clinic City State Zip box to select this box. Now hold down the CTRL key and press the letter “C” to copy this box. Now hold down the CTRL key and press the letter “V” to paste this box. It will appear slightly over the top of the original box. Using your arrow keys, move this box down and align it with the others that make the Clinic information. Now double click on this new box to bring up the Formula Expression. There is a button to the right of the expression that has 3 dots […]. Click on this box to expand this expression field. Now type in the following:

FORMATPHONE(MFCLINIC.PHONE)

When done, click OK. OK again to get back to the screen with the boxes. Hold down CTRL key and type “W” to save this form. Now preview and be sure that you have exactly what you want.
