ADJUSTMENT COMMENTS AND LEDGER NOTES

When you use the Adjustment Comment feature of TPS2000 you need to keep 2 things in mind --

1. This will add a note or description to the ADJUSTMENT entry of this service. By this I mean that if you adjust off an amount, a comment typed in will be saved in the ledger detail area under the NOTES column. If, however, you are not actually adjusting off any amounts, anything typed into this column will not save.

2. If you are making an adjust off and add a comment, the comment does not remain on the same line as the service. You will view these notes in the ledger detail. (Highlight the service line by clicking on it, now look down below at the detail area). This is where you will see each action that made up that line i.e. A Service for $35.00 with an adjust off of $2.00 might be viewed in the ledger detail as follows:

Where you see the word NOTE: above is where you will view the Adjustment Comment.

If you wish to add a comment to other actions in the ledger, this ability to note any action is available. Highlight the service line by clicking on it, now look down below at the detail area, see the column title NOTES, click on this title and a NOTES screen will pop up for your use.
