How to Enable Extended Functionality on the Scheduling Screen:
In scheduling new
appointments, the system takes the default Service-activity for the column, that has been entered on the Doctor screen. Every
new appointment in a column gets the default activity for that column. That is
the default behavior of the system and is fairly easy to understand.
On the Doctor Master
Entry screen you can specify for each column, what that activity is supposed to
be:

To enable alternate extended functionality, such
as taking the last activity that was scheduled in creating a new appointment or
a fixed activity as indicated by the user, you have to enter an extra registry
key:
Open the Basic System
Information Screen
System Operating
Parameters - User Changeable
Click on "Add a new
entry."
And enter an extra line
as shown in the screen here:

The system will then
allow extra choices on the Scheduling Screen, such as here:

If a user specifies
"Last Activity used on Schedule Screen", when you create new
appointments, the system will take the same activity that is shown next to the
save button (e.g. the last appointment created or clicked on).
If a
user select an ACTIVITY directly (such as "Adjustment" in the
Appointment Default Activity field, all new appointments created will have that
activity.
