HOW TO SET UP NOTES/NARRATIVES

 

The setup and edit area of TPS2000 SOAPs, Letters, Narratives and Notes is setup in an area called “Insertable Letters, Paragraphs, Expressions, etc.”

 


Click on the Open file folder on the navigation bar

Find and enter or click on “Insertable Letters, Paragraphs, Expressions, etc.”  This will open the setup window for your templates and phrases. 

 


To Edit Existing Entries:

After the setup window opens, click on the Show List of Records icon to the far right of the navigation bar.  This will show you a list of ALL possible entries in this area.  The entries will have a designation in the column TYPE. 

Field =        a field already in your system (i.e. Patient First Name,

Injury Date, etc.)

Choice =     Lists of Paragraphs, sentences or Items to choose from

Prompt =    Setup for the Program to ask you a question

Random =  Automatically generate based on selection and what was

previously used

Docum. =   Letter or template

 


If the designation in this Type Column is  “field” it means that this is system field “merge word”.  Please do not make changes to these items.

 

You will find all of the report templates and letters designated as an “Docum.” type.  You will also notice that the INSERT CODES for all Reports and Letters start with the word LETTER.  To see a list of all Report templates and Letters available, click your mouse in the Insert Codes column and type LETTER, this will group all of these entries together.  Arrow to the one you wish to enter and click on Select Record. 

 


When the entry comes up on the screen, you will see the layout (or letter) in the right side window.
