When you print a report from TPS2000, you have the option to export this to a file. There are six basic format types that may be selected for this file. They are as follows:
LOTUS 123 – You will use this format if you will be using the LOTUS Spreadsheet program to read or alter your report.
Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet – You will use this format if you will be using the Excel program to read or alter your report.
FoxPRO Database file – You will use this format if you will be using a FoxPRO program or language builder to read or alter your report.
dBASE III Database file – You will use this format if you will be using dBASE style program (i.e. D-Base programming, R-Base Programming, or Access) to read or alter your report.
ASCII fixed Length AND Comma Delimited text files – You will use one of these two formats if you will be importing the report into a word processor to read or alter this report.
As an example, let’s use Excel. Go to the Reports Menu in TPS2000 and select the Diagnosis Master List. Click on [Save to File]. Now select Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet (*.XLS) as the file type. Change the file name to C:\Diagnosis.XLS then click on [Generate Output File]. This will create a Microsoft Spreadsheet stored in the root C:\ drive of your computer.
Next, Open Excel. Now click on File and Open. When the browse window comes up, select your C:\ drive. Now locate DIAGNOSIS and open the file. You will something similar to the following:

You may also create a “comma delimited” or ASCII format. Go to the Reports Menu in TPS2000 and select the Diagnosis Master List. Click on [Save to File]. Now Comma Delimited Text File (*.TXT) as the file type. Change the file name to C:\Diagnosis.TXT then click on [Generate Output File]. This will create a comma-delimited file stored in the root C:\ drive of your computer. You may them import this file into any program that allows this format.
